Mary Jane Wallace

Mary Jane Wallace, age 90, passed away April 06, 2014 at Spring River Christian Village, Joplin, MO.

She was born May 12, 1923 to the late Alexander and Bessie Haskett MacNabb in Joplin. She was a Joplin High School graduate and worked several years in the health care field. She was a retired Phone Operator with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Mary was a member of the AT&T Pioneer organization.

She married Keith R. Wallace on November 2, 1960 in Miami, OK. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2001. Also preceding her in death were her sisters and brothers-in-laws, Margaret and Howard Lampkins and Bettie and Ben Gegesky as well as another sister-in-law, Lucille MacNabb.

Mrs. Wallace is survived by her son, Neil Campbell of Joplin; brother, Robert MacNabb and his wife, Wilma, also of Joplin; niece and caretaker, Erin Stewart and husband Jaycen of Joplin; nephews, Scott Gegesky and wife Pam of Grosse Ile, MI, Robert MacNabb II of Hazel Park, MI, Kevin Wallace of Carl Junction, MO, Michael Wallace, Oklahoma City, OK; nieces, Rebecca Rohde and husband Glen of Downers Grove, IL, Susan K. Thielen of Royal Oak, MI; six great nephews, six great nieces, one great-great nephew and one great-great niece; many remarkable caregivers past and present: Kathy Riddle, Deane Antrim, Dawn Old, Lucille West, Lynn Baine, Dawna Phillips and Laura Elder.

Entombment will be Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Ozark Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Joplin Humane Society or International Fellowship of Christians and Jews in care of the mortuary.

Service are under the arrangement of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, MO.
