Brian David Hunter, 49, Kansas City, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at St. Luke’s North Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Brian David Hunter was born May 15, 1966 in Carthage, MO to Elliott David Hunter, who survives, and Maria Luisa (Davis) Hunter, preceded in death. Brian was a graduate of Carthage Senior High School, Class of 1984. He later attended Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, MO. Brian worked as a salesman estimator for Kansas Builder Supply in Kansas City, MO. He was also a member of First Christian Church, Carthage, MO.
Survivors include his father Elliott Hunter and stepmother Jana Hunter; one son; Ty Hunter, Kansas City, MO; one daughter; Brandy (husband Nick) McCulley, Ackley, IA; one sister; Chalaine (husband Jeffrey) Bell, Carthage, MO; one niece; Madison Kyger, Granby, MO; one nephew; Ian Kyger, Salt Lake City, UT; five grandchildren; he was also a foster parent to over 60 children including; Claudia Solis, Alex Cummings, Samantha Rush, Aaron Rush, Sam Stone, Tyler Stone, Amanda Cooley, Sohalia, Julia, Joshua, Jane, Cheyenne, Payton, Chance, Riley, Allison, Joe, Christina, Ashley, Amber, Bobbie, Tyler, Elaina, Alex, BK Joe, and many others.
He was preceded in death by his mother Maria Luisa Davis Hunter Herd
Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the Grace Episcopal Church, Carthage, MO. The Reverend Steve Wilson will officiate.
