Mrs. Marcella Jane “Janie” Sharp Browning, 45, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.
Janie entered this life on March 17, 1970, in Bethpage, Missouri, daughter of Roy and Marcella (Henle) Sharp. She was a lifelong resident of McDonald County Missouri. Besides being a homemaker she also worked as a waitress. She enjoyed dancing, attending ballgames and spending time with her grandchildren. She attended Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church in Rocky Comfort, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Sharp.
Janie is survived by her three children, Joey Martinez and wife, Mallory, of Goodman, Missouri, Latisha Fulford and husband, Dustin, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri and Trevor Browning of Springdale, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Kelcey and Chase Martinez; her mother, Marcella Sharp of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; two brothers, David Sharp and Timothy Sharp both of Rocky Comfort; two sisters, Sara Johnson of Warren, Arkansas and Pearl Gillespie of Neosho, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes. Burial followed in the Union Cemetery near Stella, Missouri. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers were Joey Martinez, Dustin Fulford, Robert Newman, Mike Woods, Danny Johnson, Shawn Gillespie, Gary Gillespie and Matt Choate.
