Janice Kay Hatfield, 74, passed away October 13, 2015 at Mercy Hospital Joplin, MO. after a long hard battle of leukemia.
Janice was born in Sheldon, MO to Charley and Maxine (Fowler) Roland. Janice was a lifetime Carthage resident and retired from Schreiber Foods in 2014. Janice was an avid trail rider and rode with the Calamity Jane Drill team and participated in the former Kidney Foundation Ride for Life, along with many weekends at Pineville riding with family and friends.
Janice is survived by two daughters Dana Carver (Jim) of Carthage, Elizabeth Armstrong of Duenweg, MO, two sons Cameron Adams of Duenweg, MO and Dylan Armstrong also of Duenweg, MO, four granddaughters Savannah Carver, Charlee Carver, Shelby Carver and Jessie Carver, four great grandchildren , and one brother Larry Roland (Sheila) of Lamar, MO. Janice is preceded by her parents and one son Brad Armstrong July 1983.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 17, 2015 at Park Cemetery, Carthage, MO. Visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday October 16, 2015 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
