Robert L. “Bob” Taylor, age 72, Hollister, Missouri, met Jesus on Monday, December 4, 2017. Now, his faith is sight!
Bob was born October 8, 1945 in Joplin, son of the late James T. Taylor and Helen Wilcoxson Taylor. He graduated from Joplin High School, and served in the United States Army. Bob worked in sheet metal, owning Taylor Heating and Air for over 30 years.
As a former member of College Heights Christian Church, Bob volunteered throughout the community, including serving meals at Spring River Christian Village. He and his wife moved to Hollister in 2011, and became active at Faith Life Church in Branson.
Bob enjoyed life! He never met a stranger and all who knew him, loved him. He will be fondly remembered by his fishing buddies, his brothers in faith and his precious grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristy Tate.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy Macklin Taylor; children, Thad Taylor of Joplin, Brice Taylor of Overland Park, Kansas, and April German of Joplin; sister, Barbara King and husband Wes of Joplin; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life will be Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Villa Heights Christian Church with Pastor Truman Brady officiating.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
