Carl Biastock

Carl Richard Biastock, age 83, Joplin passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at his home surrounded by family.

Carl was born on September 25, 1938 to Frederick and Elizabeth (McKinzie) Biastock in Leavenworth, Kansas. Carl attended Leavenworth public schools and graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1956.

Carl joined the Army Reserves in 1955 and after basic training he remained in the reserves for the next 13 years.








He was employed with Hallmark Cards in Leavenworth for eight years. He was then an appliance manager for two years with Montgomery Ward before beginning his career with Prudential Insurance Company which he did for over 30 years serving as a representative to Sales Manager.

Carl moved to Joplin in 1978 and retired from Prudential in 1996. He won several awards and many business trips during his employment with Prudential. After retirement from Prudential, he worked five years with JCT as a courier.

In his retirement he enjoyed fishing and boating on Table Rock Lake and going to the many local shows in the Branson area.








Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Rita (Strueby) Biastock; daughter, Deborah Biastock of Joplin; sons, Carl R. Biastock, Jr. and wife Joan of Leavenworth, Kansas, Douglas Biastock and wife Rosalie of Joplin, and James Biastock and Gina of Webb City, Missouri; grandsons, Christopher, Joshua and Shelby, Jared and Mackenzie, and Zachary and Jadyn; great-grandson, Landon; step-grandchildren, Paul Greninger and wife Grace, and Sarah McDowell and husband Donny; several step-great-grandchildren; a brother, William Biastock and wife Shirley also of Leavenworth.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to your local pet shelter.

No formal services are planned at this time. Inurnment of his ashes will be later in Mount Hope Cemetery, Webb City, Missouri.
