(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)James “Jim” Edward Felkins, Jr. of Miami, OK passed from this life Friday, June 10, 2022 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. He was 71.
Jim was born January 17, 1951 in Post Falls, ID to James Edward and Betty Lou (Robertson) Felkins, Sr. He graduated from Carl Junction, Mo High School in 1969 and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He had lived in the Miami area most of his life and was a truck driver for 20 years for Yellow Freight Systems.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother and his wife, Roger and Shari Felkins.
Survivors include his wife, Janie Felkins of the home, 1 son, Trint Nixon and wife Chanilia of Miami, FL, 1 daughter, Mindy Wyatt and husband Justin of Tampa, FL, 1 brother, Dale Felkins, 2 sisters, Jamie Fisher and Tina Felkins and 3 grandchildren, Jocelyn Wyatt, Brooklyn Wyatt and Maverick Wyatt.
Celebration of Life services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Rev. Gary Rhoades will officiate.
