(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Amy Renee Houston, 51, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri. Amy was born November 19, 1971, in North Kansas City, Missouri to Roger Popp and Nancy (MacCord) Popp.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Amy was a very active member of Victory Baptist Church. She loved her church family so much. Amy also enjoyed going thrift store shopping, to garage sales, bargain shopping, petting her dogs, and playing with children.
Amy was united in marriage to David Houston August 7, 1993, in Springfield, Missouri; he survives.
Amy is survived by her husband, David; four children, Sarah Holmes, Tyler Houston, Lance Houston, and Emily Houston; three grandchildren, Ryder Houston, River Holmes, and Lilliegh Holmes; her mother, Nancy Popp; two brothers, Rick Popp (Dana) and Rusty Popp; a nephew, Andrew Popp; a niece, Allison Popp; her Victory Baptist family; and special friends, Gina Reed and Patty Doval.
Amy is preceded in death by her father, Roger Popp; and special friends, Darla York and Jennifer Reynolds “Boofie."
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023. Burial will be at Kings Point Cemetery, south of Lockwood, Missouri.
