Kristian Rene (Rector) Lucas, 38, Webb City, Missouri, passed away from this life on Monday afternoon, March 27, 2023, at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, Missouri. 

Kristian was born October 30, 1984, in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of Richard “Rick” Rector and Rene Roberson. She was a 2003 graduate of Carthage High School, where she was active in the band, cheerleading, and the color guard. She then received her associate’s degree from Vatterott College. 

Kristian married Scott Lucas on January 12, 2013, in Nevada, Missouri. She worked as a server for Timberline restaurant and was also employed for Dr. Hamilton Podiatrist’s office in Joplin. Kristian also worked as a secretary and a substitute for the Webb City School District, where she loved working with the children. She attended Carterville Christian Church. Kristian loved listening to music, horseback riding, hanging out with her kids and going to their sporting events, loved her dog Memphis “Skippy”, but most of all, loved her family.

Survivors include her husband of 10 years, Scott Lucas; a daughter, Parker Grace Lucas; two sons, Wyatt Drake Lucas and Jackson Matthew Lucas; her father and stepmother, Rick Rector (Vera); her mother, Rene Roberson; two brothers, Shane Johnson and Sean Johnson; and many extended family and friends.

Funeral graveside services will be held at 11 am, Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Lamar, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage.
