Glane Harris

(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)

Glane Dale Harris was born June 16, 1942 in St. Louis, MO. He was granted his eternal rest March 25, 2023, at Hospice House in Olathe, KS following a stroke suffered two weeks before.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bonnie of Webb City, and his three children Kevin (Cheryl), Bryan (Lorrie), and Kelli Fannin (Chris), and two grandsons who were his pride and joy, Cameron, and Austin. He is also survived by his brother Randy (Judy) and a whole host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Before retiring, Glane made his living driving a delivery truck and then doing route sales and supervising for a deli company that provided cold goods to various small grocery and convenience stores. He met people and made friends of all ethnic backgrounds in his job and came home with many fun stories of trying foods from various countries, offered to him by the owners of some of his accounts. He loved getting to know people and making friends from different places and learning about their cultures. He was a devoted Christian and loved his family fiercely. He loved spending time on family trips, golf, fishing, and watching his sports teams, the Giants, 49ers, and Warriors over the years. He treasured the memories of fishing trips on the White River with his sons and grandsons. He loved both gospel and bluegrass music.

Glane was the second son born to Noel Baker Harris (1918- 2004) and Velvia Marie Owens (1923-2003). He was preceded in death by sisters, Janeth Louise (1946-1946) and Shirlena Kay Fong (1944-2011), and brothers Thomas Michael (1952-2013), and Gerald Duane (1939-2016).

Go with God, Dad, we love you. You were a wonderful husband, dad, and grandpa. You will be missed beyond words. Thank you for every memory.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2023, at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Webb City, MO.
