Rodney Guinn

Rodney Lee Guinn, 84, of LaRussell, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in the comfort of his home.

Rodney was born on Monday, May 9, 1938 in Carthage, Missouri, to the union of the late Clemith “Jack” and Beulah (Waggoner) Guinn. He was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School. 

On June 27, 1959 he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Whitehead, together they shared sixty years together until her passing on August 8, 2019. 








Rodney retired after many years of dedicated service with the Ford Agency in Sarcoxie. After retirement he then went to work for Leggett and Platt, retiring at the age of eighty-one. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carthage and was a past member of the Lions Club and Jaycee’s of Sarcoxie. He enjoyed golfing, model airplanes, old cars, sporting events, as well as spending time with his family and friends. He will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Guinn; and son , Paul Guinn.

He is survived by his children, Mark Guinn of LaRussell, Kevin Guinn and wife, Nancy, of Sarcoxie and Angie Hine and husband, Robbie, also of Sarcoxie; grandchildren, Jordan Nichols and husband, Steven, Amelia Oberley and husband, Nate, Hayden Guinn, Kyle Guinn,, Kayla Garcia and husband, Angel, Rowan Hine, Rhys Hine and wife, Willow; great-grandchildren, Addison Nichols, Karlie Nichols, Jace Nichols, Kailee Smith and Alyssa Garcia; many cousins; as well as a host of other family and friends.








Graveside services for Mr. Guinn are 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2023 at Harvey Cemetery, with Pastor Tom Shouse officiating. 

Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Kyle Guinn, Hayden Guinn, Steven Nichols, Rhys Hine, Angel Garcia and Chip Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Nate Oberley, Richard Beydler, Charlie Crawford, Doug Pickering and Rodney White. 

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Harvey Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
