Gale Lamoreaux

Gale Lamoreaux, age 86, of Joplin, Missouri passed away Wednesday March 22, 2023, at Arbor Village in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Gale was born November 18, 1936, in Chandler, Arizona to Andrew Glendon and Viola Perkins
Lamoreaux..

Gale proudly served in the United States Army and was a 100% service connected disabled Veteran.








Born and raised on a ranch, farming never left his blood.

He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a fulltime mission for the Church to Minnesota and Canada and worked in the Albuquerque Temple for many years.

He married Eloise Matthews Avant and she preceded him in death on February 10, 2018.

Gale was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Sharron Lamoreaux, one stepdaughter,
Marsha Avant Roth, two brothers, Marvin Glen Lamoreaux, John Eugene Lamoreaux; and one
sister, Marilyn Lamoreaux.

Gale is survived by three sons, Ronald Glen Lamoreaux, Steven Gale Lamoreaux, William Keil
Lamoreaux; three daughters, Donna Sue Lamoreaux Flanders, Debra Marie Lamoreaux Juarez,
Carolin Lamoreaux Miller; one sister, Donna Lamoreaux Barney; 12 grandchildren, 7 great
grandchildren.








He is also survived by Eloise’s family: one stepson, Ira Marshall Avant, III, four stepdaughters,
Libby Avant Brinegar, Tomie K. Avant Parsons, Rose Avant Lawyer, and June Avant Taylor.
She has over 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren,

The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 pm Thursday March 30, 2023, at The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Joplin, Missouri with funeral services following at 6:00 pm
with Bishop Adam Lawyer officiating. Burial with military honors will be 9:00 am Friday March
31, 2023, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery Springfield, Missouri.

The funeral and burial will be broadcast. Contact a family member for the zoom link.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Humanitarian Aid Fund of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints.
