(From Clark Funeral Home)Shirley Ann Wolfenbarger, age 79, peacefully departed this life on November 8, 2024, at her residence. She was born on February 5, 1945, to Hubert S. Wolfenbarger and Marjorie Sandwell. A graduate of Joplin High School, Shirley later pursued a career as a self-employed professional, known for her independence, kindness, and determination.
Shirley was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, whose warmth and joy touched all who knew her.
She is survived by her sister, Shelly Loyd, and her husband John; her nieces, Rebecca Willkomn and husband Jimmy, Jessica Frazier and husband Nick, Susan Wolfenbarger, and Sara Wolfenbarger. She also leaves behind three great-nieces and one great-nephew, as well as her loyal dog companion, Benjamin, who was by her side always.
In honoring her wishes, Shirley’s cremains will be interred at Neosho IOOF Cemetery alongside her late sister, Martha Jean Wolfenbarger, in a private family service to be held at a later date.
Shirley’s legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
