James Long

James E. Long was born November 11, 1970, and went to his heavenly home on Friday December 5, 2025 in Springfield, MO.

He lived in Monett all of his life. James went to Monett High school and graduated in the class of 1989. While in high school he was an active member in choir and Future Farmers of America. James was the second person in Monett to get his American Farmer Degree. Then after high school he attended Crowder College in Neosho and got an Associates Degree in agriculture mechanic technology.








James married Marsha Bertalotto on June 28, 1997, and they were blessed with 18 years together.

He worked for Hydro Wells Aluminum for over 20 years and he also worked for Race Brothers in Monett for 6 years. He loved to fish and hunt and he loved to work on the farm. He loved to spend time with his family. Many things in James' life brought him happiness but nothing like the joy of his family.

James is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Long and his mother, Becky Long both of the home; and a host of extended family and friends.

James is preceded in death by his wife, Marsha; and his father, Herbert Long and his grandparents James and Margurette Hankins and Nathan and Audrey Long.








Funeral services for James will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Waymark Church in Monett. Reverend

Tony Martin will be officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett. Visitation will be held from 5 ~ 7:00 p.m. Monday at Waymark Church. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Kidney Association in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
