Kim Spencer

(From Midland Cremation Society)

Kimberly "Kim" Dawn Spencer (Hayworth), of Joplin, Missouri, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the age of 38. Born in Syracuse, Kansas, on April 4, 1987, Kim was a truly unique and vibrant soul, whose light touched everyone she met.

Kim was the ultimate supporter and a fierce protector of those she loved. She lived her life with her whole heart, offering unwavering love and loyalty. For her siblings, Kim was a constant and devoted presence—their biggest fan. Though she was the typical big sister who would always tell on them, that playful rivalry was built on a foundation of profound love and fierce protection. She was a person who always showed up, no questions asked, embodying the true meaning of family.

Possessing a radiant smile and a heart that was simply huge, Kim had a remarkable ability to connect with people; she truly never met a stranger. She would light up any room she entered, filling it with her infectious energy and the best laugh. She was a natural at making others laugh and feel comfortable.

Above all else, Kim's greatest joy and passion was her family, especially her beloved son, Asher. Her devotion to him and her siblings was limitless. Beyond her family, Kim found comfort and happiness in the world around her. She loved all animals, enjoyed being in nature, and carried a lifelong fascination with the mystical.

A fan of fairytales and everything mysterious, Kim’s imagination was boundless, often centered around her love for fairies. She graduated from Webb City High School in 2005 and fondly recalled her time working as a camera operator at Channel News 12 while she was in high school.

Kim’s love and vibrant spirit will be profoundly missed by her loving family:

• Son: Asher James Given
• Parents: Donald Hayworth and Charlotte Beck
• Stepmother: Dawnita Waterman
• Adopted Mother/Grandmother: Mary Spencer
• Siblings: Ronnie Spencer, Jessica Tracy, Carl Joe (C.J.) Spencer, and half-brother Donald Jr. Hayworth (Bubby)
• Stepsiblings: Samara Waterman, Amanda Delossantos, Douglas Dunn, and Brandon Waterman
• Nieces and Nephew: Haylee Dawn Tracy, Natalee Mae Speer, and Caston Dean Tracy
Kim was married from 2010 to 2012.

Memorial Service

A memorial service to celebrate Kim’s life will be held on Saturday, December 13, at 11:00 a.m. at the Central Christian Center in Joplin, Missouri. The family honored Kim’s wishes for cremation.

Flowers are welcome as expressions of sympathy.
