Carolyn Cornelia Carder, 74 of Saginaw, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at her home following an extended illness.
Carolyn was born August 27, 1941 in Joplin to the late William Craig Medlin and Ella Loraine Copher Medlin. She was a 1959 graduate of Joplin High School. Carolyn did receive her beautician license but was a homemaker for most of her married life. She played Bunco with her friends for over 40 years.
On June 4, 1960, Carolyn married George E. Carder in Joplin. They were married for almost 56 years prior to her passing. George survives of their home in Saginaw.
Additional survivors include a son, George Gregory Carder and wife, Tonya of Saginaw; daughter, Melissa Decker and husband, Scott of Carthage; 5 grandchildren and many extended family.
Other than her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by a son, Brent Alan Carder and a sister, Judy Dispain.
A memorial service is planned for Friday, April 29 at 6:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Saginaw Cemetery in care of the mortuary.
Carolyn chose to donate her body to medical science. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been made through Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
