Doug R. Scott, 57, of Fair Grove, MO, passed away on Tuesday morning, May 3, 2016 while at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.
Doug was born on April 24, 1959 in Aurora, MO, son of Ralph McKinley Scott and Peggy (Andrus) Moore. He graduated from Aurora High School with the class of 1977. For many years, Doug was self-employed as an auto body mechanic. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Doug is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Richardson and her husband Shane, of Monett and Samantha Scott, of Neosho; five sisters, Barbara Scott, Deloris Zimmerman, Pam Mangan, Becky Longing and Tammy Boswell; two granddaughters, Sarah and Emma; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Doug’s wishes were to be cremated and to have his ashes buried at the Crossroads Cemetery in Galena, MO. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
