Melvin Joseph ‘Joe’ Farmer, 70, Neosho, died April 22, 2016 at Joplin Health and Rehab, following an illness.
Joe was born December 14, 1945 in Davie, West Virginia. He was a trucker driver and had worked for CFI five years, Sitton Motors for 19 ½ years and then owned and operated P and J Taxi Service with his wife, Peggy for four years. He enjoyed walking and riding his motorcycle and attended Freewill Baptist Church.
Melvin married his wife, Peggy in 1986 and she survives. Additional survivors include four children, Steven Hoye of Bronaugh, MO; Jeanette Waltrip of Nevada, MO; Leynette Cohen of the state of Maine and Gina Hoye of Joplin; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
