Rebecca Jo Johnson-McCall, 67, of Sarcoxie, Missouri departed this life on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at her home.

Rebecca entered this life on May 3, 1949 in Wichita, Kansas to the union of the late James and Doris (Kaiser) Johnson. After graduating high school, she furthered her education and obtained her master’s degree. Rebecca also nearly completed her PhD. On December 27, 2008 she was united in marriage to Michael McCall at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sarcoxie, where she was also a member. Rebecca invested many years professionally training dogs. She had an endless love for her dogs and she also enjoyed sewing and making jewelry.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Rebecca is survived by her husband, Michael McCall; daughter, Jessi Hall, and husband, Jeremy; step-children, Agnes McCall Thomas, Brennna McCall Dornan, Timothy McCall, Pamela McCall and Florence McCall Burke; sister, Christine Ayre, and husband, Cary, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two nephews, Jeremy and Hunter Ayre; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Rebecca are 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2016 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Don Sullivan officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial to follow in Cave Springs Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Jeremy Hall, Joey Thomas, Timothy McCall, Cary Ayre, Jeremy Ayre and Hunter Ayre. The family has directed memorial contributions to the Joplin Humane Society and they may be left at the funeral home.
