George Earl Snider II, age 73, of Joplin, passed away on Thursday November 2, 2017, at Freeman Hospital West, following an illness.
George was born on October 13, 1944 in Portland, Or., the son of the late George Earl Snider, Sr. and Vivian (Olmstead) Snider. He served in the United States Army. He married Evelyn Judith Snider and together they raised three children. He worked as a CPA. He owned and operated an accounting firm in LaHabra, Ca. He previously worked for Xerox in Santa Anna, Ca. He was a faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene and also a member of First Evangelical Free Church, Fullerton Ca.
He is preceded in death by both parents; mother-in-law, Bertha Jackson; his wife, Judy Snider; sister, Luacine Herman; and one grandson, Andrew George Snider. He is survived by his son, George E. Snider, III and wife Michele, Joplin; two daughters, Anita “Jeanette Hull and husband David, Joplin, and Laura Jean Wiemelt and husband Ronald, Duenweg, Mo.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside Committal of Ashes will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Mo.
