Robert Gerald Bricker, 73, passed away October 31, 2017 at his home in Carthage. Robert was born January 26, 1944 in Pittsburg, Kansas to James Robert and LaVaun Margaret “Irwin” Bricker. Robert was a longtime resident of Carthage and was employed by Flex-O-Lators as a tool & die maker for 20 plus years. He graduated from Carl Junction High School with the class of 1962. Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of Faith Life Worship Center in Carthage and a member of the NRA.
Robert was united in marriage to Charlotte Jackson in Carthage on May 11, 1968; she survives.
Robert is survived by two daughters, Paula Hammer (Derek) of Carthage and Pamela DePreste (James) of Joplin; one sister, Donna Martin and husband Larry of Joplin; four grandchildren: Alisha, Rianna, Makasha and Dakota; three great grandchildren: Amoura, Alexis and Lydia.
Robert is preceded in death by his adopted daughter, Tara Diane Bricker, who passed in 1999 and his step-father, Rulie Long.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Faith Life Worship Center. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Faith Life Worship Center Parking Lot Fund, care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
