Mary Margaret Burdick Franks was born January 27, 1955 in Monterey Park, California to Harry and Margaret Burdick. She entered into rest at age 62 in Rogers, Arkansas on January 2, 2018. She was an active member of Grace Baptist Church, Rogers, AR.
Mary married Max Franks on June 22, 1974 in Neosho, Missouri; he survives.
Mary worked as a hairdresser and in retail, but her most loved profession was teaching preschoolers. Mary had a gift of sign language; but after her eye sight started to fail, she used this precious gift as her praise to the Lord.
Mary’s true love in life, besides her relationship with Christ, was her family. She was a devoted wife, giving mom, and the best NeeNee. No one ever crossed her doorstep without a meal or special treat.
Survivors include her husband, Max of the home; daughter, Angel Arentson and husband, Tim of Neosho; two grandchildren, Ryan Johnson of Warrensburg, MO and Andi Johnson of Neosho; one sister, Ester Grissom of Rogers, AR; three brothers-in-law, Mark Franks and wife, Jennine of Neosho, Mike Franks and wife, Tammy of Neosho, and Monte Franks of Joplin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Private interment will be held at the Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30 am Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Grace Baptist Church, 2409 W. New Hope Rd., Rogers, AR 72758.
