Mr. Richard Daniel “Rick” Corsbie, 61, of Goodman, Missouri, departed this life Wednesday morning, January 10, 2018, at his residence.
Rick entered this life on February 14, 1956, in Iowa City, Iowa, born to the union of the late William and Betty (Docterman) Corsbie. He moved to McDonald County Missouri at the age of thirteen and was a 1974 graduate of McDonald County High School. On April 19, 1975, he was united in marriage to Cecelia Proctor and to this union a daughter and son were born. He was employed by Talbot Wire in Neosho, Missouri, for thirty-three years. He enjoyed coaching soccer, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Rick served in the National Guard, was a member of the Goodman Jaycees and followed the Baptist faith throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a half-sister, Christine Bartholomew.
Rick is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Cecelia Corsbie of the home; two children, Mandi Whitmore and husband, Raymond, of Anderson, Missouri and Richard Corsbie and wife, April, of Granby, Missouri; seven grandchildren; one great grandson; two siblings, William Corsbie, Jr. of Hagerstown, Maryland and Trudi Basso of Roseburg, Oregon; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, January 12, 2018, from 5-7:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
