Luke Schuler

Mr. Paul Allen “Luke” Schuler, 73, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at National Health Care Center in Joplin, Missouri, after months of declining health with his loving family at his bedside.

Luke entered this life on January 25, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri, born to the union of the late Walter Louis and Edna Mae (Fowler) Schuler. He was raised in Anderson, Missouri and was a 1965 graduate of Anderson High School. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Navy serving four years in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge he returned home to Anderson and worked as a machinist. He later re-enlisted in the Navy serving his country faithfully an additional twelve years. He enjoyed fishing and volunteer work with area ministries. Luke was a member of the First Christian Church in Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two siblings, David and Donna Marie Schuler.







Luke is survived by his three children, Joe Schuler and wife, Sireena, of Bernice, Oklahoma, Paula Glaude and husband, Joesf, of Glenpool, Oklahoma and John Schuler and wife, Jennifer, of Quapaw, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; one great grandson; two brothers, Gary Schuler and wife, Kathy, of Show Low, Arizona and Chuck Schuler and wife, Barbara, of Anderson; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Schuler are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Jerry Keene officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Peace Valley Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Joe Schuler, John Schuler, Jacob Schuler, Jesse Schuler, Jonathan Schuler and Joesf Glaude.
