(From Clark Funeral Home)Ronald Lee Bettes was born December 4, 1938, in Granby, Missouri, one of seven children, to Herbert William ‘Bill’ and Mary L. (Sanders) Bettes. He entered into sleep on March 7, 2022, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of eighty-three.
Ron was a lifelong area resident and owned and operated a residential construction company. His hobbies were working, taking care of his cattle, fishing, and gardening. He was a member of the Living Church of God and was a faithful servant.
Ronald and Sharon Jeanette Ogle were married August 30, 1957, in Miami, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death on December 5, 2014.
Ronald is survived by three children, Mark (Jamie) Bettes of Granby, Melissa Bettes of Ozark, and Michelle (Anthony) Scott of Neosho; one sister, Janice Cody of Webb City; ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, Michael Bettes and Melvin Bettes and siblings, Bill, Marjorie, Fred, Alan, and Opal.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 2:30 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
