George Clymer

George Clarence Clymer, 70, of Anderson, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, in Joplin, Missouri, with his loving family by his side.

George entered this life on Friday, December 7, 1951, in Stella, Missouri, born to the late Claude and Velma (Parks) Clymer.

He grew up in Stella, Missouri, and was a lifelong resident of McDonald County. On December 27, 1978, he married the love of his life, Sherri Staton. This December, they would have shared 44 years of marriage.








For most of his life, George worked as a truck driver. When he wasn’t on the road, he enjoyed hunting. He would take hunting trips to Colorado as often as he could. Deer, Elk, Pheasant, Quail Hogs, you name it, he could hunt it. He was a skilled carpenter and also enjoyed scratch off tickets! Out of his many hobbies, his true passion was spending time with his family, hosting many BBQ’s and cook outs. His family and friends will always value the knowledge and wisdom he passed onto them.

He will always be remembered for the love and devotion he showed to his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Velma Clymer and a sister, Mary Richardson of Carthage, Missouri.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherri Clymer of Anderson, Missouri; his children, Kristina Myers with her husband, Mark, of Southwest City, Missouri, Keith George Clymer of Anderson, Missouri, and Adam Charles Robertson with his wife, Jamie, of Bentonville, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Kloe Myers, Jozlyn Myers, Erin Alsop, Kiley Murray, William Robertson and Ashley Boggess; Seven great grandchildren, with two more on the way; and a brother, Estell Clymer of Stella, Missouri.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., in the Anderson Chapel, of Ozark Funeral Home. Pastor J.R. Morgan will be officiating.
