Beth Henson

Elizabeth Ann Henson, age 65, passed away at 4:02 pm, Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Freeman West Hospital.

Beth was born April 27, 1960 in Redstone Arsenal, AL. Her parents were Charles E and Bonnie B (Brown) South. She moved to Galena from Corinth MS, where she had lived for 10 years.

Beth enjoyed drawing, drinking coffee, enjoying her coin collection, winning at cards/board games, riding motorcycles, and cooking/baking for family/friends. She was an avid nail polish connoisseur.

She was married to Charlie Henson on February 12, 1994 in Joplin, Missouri. He survives.

Additional survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Weathers, Corinth, MS; one stepson, Janes Henson (Ashley), Louisburg, KS; one stepdaughter, Valerie Henson (Randy Graves), Joplin, MO: two brothers, Edward South (Donna) Deming, NM, and David South (Barbie) Henderson, TN: one sister, Jamie Butrymoicz (Doug), Shidler, OK: her brother-in-law, Ronnie Reddell, Joplin, MO; 5 grandchildren, Victoria Henson-Miyauchi, Kendall Henson, Alexandria Henson, Gabriel Henson, and Calista Henson; and special friends Troy and Angela Pickens.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Ellen Reddell.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS. Russ Ferguson and Audie Tash will officiate. Private burial will be at Hill Crest Cemetery, Galena, KS.

The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.
