(From Parker Mortuary)Sadie Lou Bearden, age 84 of Joplin, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2025 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin following an extended illness. Sadie was born April 14, 1941 in Snyder, OK to the late Willis and Leota D. (Chambers) Rogers.
Sadie graduated high school from Denver, Colorado and later moved to the Joplin area where she began her long-time career as a seamstress for Elders Manufacturing. Sadie attended Liberty Baptist Church of Webb City and was known by her constant encouragement and positive attitude. In her free time, Sadie enjoyed spending time reading and knitting for her friends and family.
Other than her parents, Sadie is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; sons, Larry, Randy and Richard Bearden as well as a brother, Charles Jagger.
Those left to mourn her passing include her daughters, Connie Monohan of Pittsburg, Kansas, Kathleen Koelling and husband, Craig of Westcliffe, Colorado and Christine Crahan of Reeds, Missouri; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are planned for Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
