(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Carolyn Louetta Barnard, 81, of Joplin, Missouri passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at her residence.
Carolyn was born August 22, 1943, in Joplin, Missouri.
She had lived all of her life in Joplin.
She worked for Wal-Mart Supercenter in Webb City for 26 years and was still employed there at the time of her passing.
She was a member of the Empire Church in Galena, Kansas.
She was an avid bingo player, she was very much a family person as she always looked forward to spending time with the family on Sunday afternoons when everyone would come over for lunch, and that was when she could do her cooking for all the family, which she dearly enjoyed and she also enjoyed bingo with her sisters.
She married George Barnard, Sr., on August 31, 1960, in Miami, Oklahoma, and he preceded her in death on April 17, 2010, after nearly 50 years of marriage.
Survivors include four sons; George Barnard, Jr. (Dawn) Barnard of Joplin, Missouri, Lonnie (Patricia) Barnard of Joplin, Missouri, Kevin (Kristy) Barnard of Sarcoxie, Missouri and Kent (Lynn) Barnard of Carl Junction, Missouri, three daughters; Martha (Derril) Tate of Carl Junction, Missouri, Kerrie (Gary) Barnard of Plato, Missouri and Missy (Bob) Larson of Neosho, Missouri, three sisters; Edna Frossard of Nevada, Missouri, Alice Boyer of Joplin, Missouri, and Sharon Haynes of Joplin, Missouri, 22 Grandchildren, 37 Great-Grandchildren, nine Great-Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Thomas Harvey and Lois L. Robinson Haynes and one sister; Virginia Coleman.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Friday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel with Pastor Michael Mcguire officiating.
There will be a Visitation from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Mason-Woodard Chapel.
