Becky Anderson

(From Lakin Funeral Home)

Rebecca "Becky" Kathleen Anderson, age 48, of Pierce City, MO passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO.

She was born in Monett, MO on Tuesday, December 4, 1973; daughter of Walter and Kathleen (Parrigon) Houck.

Becky went to school in Udall, KS, St. Mary's Grade School in Pierce City and was a 1992 graduate of Pierce City High School. She also received an associate degree from Missouri Southern State University.

Becky was devoted to her girls and enjoyed doing anything with them. She loved spending time with the Boston Terrier "grand dogs" too. Becky enjoyed being outside.

The family survived the Joplin tornado in 2011 where they lost everything. Becky protected the girls as they were taking shelter, and the girls were not hurt at all. Becky was very smart, quick witted, funny, and feisty. She and her girls very much enjoyed being together.

At her death, she was a paraprofessional for Monett School District. She poured her heart into her role as a paraprofessional. Her heart of gold extended not only to students, but to staff members as well. She was kind, loving, and patient with all who came in contact with her.

Surviving are the following, two daughters, Cassandra Younker and husband, Andrew, of Republic, MO and Melody Anderson and fiance, Trenton Kluck of Joplin, MO; one stepdaughter, Jodi Anderson of Kansas City, MO; her parents, Walter and Kathy Houck of Wentworth, MO; one brother, Matt Houck and wife, Evelle, of Mount Vernon, MO; one nephew, Josh Lyall of Olathe, KS, and many, many other friends and family members.
