(From Simpson Funeral Home)Mae Marie Lassiter age 96, of Webb City, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Westgate in Joplin, Missouri. She was born on May 11, 1926 in Galesburg, Missouri to Charles Horn and Vera (Edwards) Horn.
Mae was a member of the First Christian Church in Webb City. She loved to drink her coffee, sit on the patio and visit, and to especially spend time with her family.
Mae married Denny Lassiter on August 29, 1957 and he survives her at home.
She is also survived by her daughter, Judy Divine and husband Claude; grandchildren, Darren Linder and wife Cristy, Ronda Whisner and husband Rob, Robin Bach and husband Chris, Damon Divine, Darren Divine, Doug Divine and wife Lan, and Dana Weeks; along with 20 great grandchildren.
Mae was preceded in death by her siblings, Gene Horn, Bess Shira, James (Joe) Horn, and Dixie Hathcock; and 2 grandchildren, Dustin Divine, and Dexter Divine.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
Funeral services will start at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Simpson Funeral Home Chapel with Eldon Potts of Joplin, Missouri officiating. Burial will follow services in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin. Services are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Visit www.simpsonfh.com for online condolences.
