Nan Hopkins

(From Stumpff Funeral Home)

Nanette “Nan” (Ellis) Hopkins, 63, passed away in her home in Ozark, Missouri last week. Born in Springfield, Missouri to the late David and Darlene Ellis, Nan graduated Crane High School in 1976 and later attended classes through Drury University.

She was a dedicated employee of MWM Dexter, Inc. in Aurora, MO for approximately 15 years and later worked for Walmart for more than ten years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her infant sister, Angela. Nan is survived by her son Tony and wife Jenny of Ozark, MO and granddaughters Marin and Linden Hopkins; her sister Janette Bacher and husband Bruce Bacher of Carthage, MO; Nephews David Bacher and wife Bailey and their daughter Blair of Broken Arrow, OK, Bryan Bacher of Aurora, MO; Aunts Connie Webb and husband Gary of Springfield, MO, Janice Metcalf and husband Bill of Crane, MO; and numerous cousins.

Always sentimental, she enjoyed reminiscing at family gatherings, browsing antique stores/flea markets, and collecting photos to make into family albums. But her greatest joy was truly that of being “Grandma Nanny” to her two granddaughters whom she sincerely loved with all her heart. Grandma

Nanny will be forever in our hearts and remembered for her hugs, treasured family photos and mementos, making goodie bags for holidays and birthdays, enjoying 4th of July fireworks, attending basketball, gymnastics and cheerleading activities, and always being willing to color pictures and play long games of Uno, cards and checkers.

A graveside service will be held at Crane Community Cemetery on Thursday, June 9th, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Brandt Friggle officiating. Services are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clark Community Mental Health Center, 411 3rd Street, Monett, MO 65708 or Northside Christian Church in Springfield, MO www.northsidechristianchurch.net/giving/.
