Judy Hudson

Judy Lynn Roberson (Hudson), age 73 of Bella Vista Arkansas, passed from this life on March 3rd, 2023, at Circle of Life Hospice. She was born March 4th,1949, to John Ronald “Ron” and Ruth Roberson in Sand Springs, OK.

She attended Neosho High School (Neosho, MO) where she graduated in 1967. Judy was a cheerleader all four years of high school and was Homecoming Queen in 1966. She was a member of the high school French and Pep Clubs and was voted “Peppiest in her Senior Class”! She sang in the Cecillian Choir and was the Cecillian Queen her senior year. She was a proud member of the National Honor Society. After high school, Judy attended the University of Tulsa and Pittsburg State.








As an adult, Judy worked as an artist, a legal secretary, an employee with Tulsa Transit Authority, and an insurance executive with The Hartford allowing her to travel the world which she thoroughly enjoyed. She was an avid golfer (and even recently got a hole in one!!), a member of the Tulsa Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a current member of the Bella Vista Womens Golf Club, and St. Bernards Golf League. She was a keen observer of all things beautiful and expressed this as a talented painter, an amateur photographer, and potter. She loved her little dog, Wickett. She saw beauty in everything, was a voracious reader, and brought joy in the room with her.

She was loved by friends, extended family, golf partners, and many others she shared her life with.








Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Ron and Ruth Roberson.

She is survived by daughter, Rebecca Lowe (and Lonny) of Stillwater, OK; sons, Matt Calvert (and Laura) of New Orleans, LA, and Jeff Calvert (and Marissa) of Jenks, OK.; eight grandchildren, James, Nathan, Carter, Liza, Cole, Cash, Jackson, and Ethan; her life partner, Randall Backus of Bella Vista; brothers, Ronnie Roberson (and Dale) of Tulsa, OK, and Bill Roberson (and Linda) of Fayetteville, AR; niece, Erin Meyer (and Paisley), and nephew, Dylan Roberson. She also maintained a close relationship with former stepdaughters, Sloan Daniels (and Chris), Audrey Mosier (and David), Christi Monroe (and Stephen), and Shelli Jones (and Justin), as well as eight step-grandchildren, Emily, Hali, Tyler, Devin, Mackenzie, Mallori, Braden, and Miriam; and one step-great grandchild, Grayson.

A celebration of life will be held for Judy’s family and her personal friends at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 12th, 2023, at the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel, 504 Memorial Drive, Bella Vista, AR 72714.
