(From Crafton-Cantell Funeral Home)Mickey Alan Gold, age 66, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Aurora, Missouri. He was born October 21, 1956, in Aurora, the son of Richard Dale and Anna Lea (Carl) Gold.
Mickey was a 1975 graduate of Aurora High School and received his bachelor's degree from Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, Missouri in 1979. He worked in retail management. He enjoyed sports, reading books, especially sports books and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Aurora.
Mickey is survived by his mother, Anna Gold of Aurora; one brother, Richard Gold of Springfield, Missouri; one sister, Cheryl Jackson and her husband, Gary, of Springfield, Missouri; two nieces, Melody Carter and her husband, Chuck, of Aurora, and Melissa Dudolski and her husband, Scott, of Carthage, Missouri; three great-nieces; three great-nephews; one great-great niece; two great-great nephews and many cousins.
Mickey was preceded in death by his father, Richard Gold, Sr.
A memorial service under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Aurora. Burial will be held at a later date at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the American Cancer Society or ARC of the Ozarks, in care of the funeral home.
