(From Parker Mortuary)Toby Wayne Buckner, age 40 of Joplin, Missouri, passed away suddenly at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri. Toby was born January 26, 1983 to Tommy W. Buckner and Brenda Youngblood Buckner in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
He worked as a Quality Control Inspector. Toby was a member of Christ Community Church of Joplin where you could often find him volunteering in the Kid’s Ministry.
On May 21, 2011, he married Amy Marcum at Jasper United Methodist Church in Jasper, Missouri. She survives of the home, including their daughters, Madison and Reagan Buckner.

Additional survivors include his parents, Tommy and Brenda Buckner of Joplin; brothers, Joshua Buckner and wife, Kendra of Neosho, Patrick Blankenship of Carthage; sisters, Mackenzie Newman and husband, Matthew of Jasper and Gabrielle Godinez of Neosho; grandmother, Delores Kennell of Carthage; several extended family and friends that will all miss Toby.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 at Christ Community Church in Joplin at 10:00 A.M. with family will receive friends on Sunday, March 12th from 3-5pm at the Parker Chapel. In lieu of flowers, family request donations to be made to the “Camp Scholarship Fund of Christ Community Church” in care of the mortuary.
Services have been entrusted to the care of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
