(From Ozark Funeral Home)Nicky Ray Jackson, affectionately known as Granny Glitter, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home in Southwest City, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, after months of failing health.
Born on March 11, 1942, in Independence, Missouri, to the late Albert Frank and Florence Ella (Jordan) Egerer, Nicky's vibrant spirit and loving nature touched the lives of many throughout her 82 years.
Raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Nicky moved to Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, in 1969. Her beauty and charm were evident early on as she worked as a child model, capturing the hearts of those around her. Nicky was known for her tireless work ethic, which was reflected in her diverse career. She dedicated herself to serving others at Gravette Hospital, Shiloh Farms Bakery, G&W Grocery Store in Noel, and later found joy in caring for animals as a dog groomer.
Granny Glitter's zest for life was unmistakable. She attended Southwest City Full Gospel Church, where she found fellowship and community. Her passions were many and varied; she loved riding horses, participating in barrel racing, and had an affinity for fast cars. Shopping was more than a pastime for Nicky—it was an adventure. Above all, her love for her family and grandchildren was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Nicky also had a profound heart for animals, which was evident in every aspect of her life. As we say goodbye for now, we celebrate the glittering trail of memories she leaves behind—a testament to a life well-lived and a woman dearly loved.
She is survived by her four children, Gina Burton of Seneca, Missouri, Johnny Sevart and wife, Robin, of Claremore, Oklahoma, Tammy Morgan Key and husband, Lee, of Eucha, Oklahoma, and Joseph Robert “JR” Morgan and wife, Stephanie, of Noel, Missouri. Her ten grandchildren, Ginger Wilkerson, Jimmy Holt, Jake Holt, Jagen Sevart, Jared Sevart, Jordan Beal, Dakota Beal, Maranda Goddard, Donte Graham, and Cheyenne Tuepker, will carry forward her vivacious spirit. Nicky was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren who will grow up hearing tales of their Granny Glitter's adventures and kindness. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of other family members and friends who will continue to cherish her memory.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a son, Jimmy Sevart, a great-grandson, Eli Tuepker, and a brother, Billy Egerer. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she is now reunited with them in eternal peace.
