(From Simpson Funeral Home)Jerry Wayne Harman was a beacon of resilience, dedication, and kindness. He passed away on April 28, 2024. Born on April 11, 1958, in Bluefield, West Virginia, he spent his early years in his hometown before making Webb City his forever home.
Jerry was a man of Christian faith, and his life was a living testament to the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32: "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." His thoughtful nature and supportive spirit made him a cherished presence to those fortunate enough to know him.
Jerry lived a fulfilling life, holding various careers throughout his working time, retiring from Cardinal Scales in 2020. He was a man who valued hard work and perseverance, but never let it overshadow his love for his family, which mattered most to him.

Jerry was a cornerstone of his family, a steady and kind-hearted presence who went out of his way to do anything and everything for the people he loved. His love for fishing, reading, watching Westerns, and spending quality time with his loved ones painted the picture of a man content with life's simplest pleasures.
Jerry is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Susan Harman; his loving daughters, Stacy (Shannon) Moss and Stephanie (Alex) Frizzo; his siblings, Linda Smeltzer, Richard Harmon, Mary (Timothy) Schweigel, and Tammy Ash; and his beloved grandchildren, John and Anna Frizzo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Evelyn Harman, and his brothers, Eugene and Johnny Harman.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 5-7pm at Simpson Funeral Home's Webb City chapel. The celebration of Jerry's life will continue on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 1:00pm at the same location. A graveside service will follow at Mt Hope Cemetery.
