(From Ozark Funeral Home)Perry Joe Plummer, a cherished pillar of the Anderson community, passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 17, 2024, at the age of 89, in the same small Missouri town where he was born on June 29, 1934.
Known affectionately as Joe to his friends and family, he lived a life marked by dedication to his loved ones and his work, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and warmth. Joe spent his entire career in construction. After retiring from construction he worked for the city of Anderson the community he loved. Joe's work ethic and integrity were an inspiration to all who knew him.
Family was the cornerstone of Joe's life. He is survived by his devoted son, Ronnie Plummer and his wife Janie; his loving daughters, Gayola Dodson and her husband Gary, and Carolyn Williams and her husband Frank. Eleven Grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren, and his special friend, Louine "MO" Gardner. Joe was a loving figure who instilled the values of kindness and compassion in his children, and his guidance and support shaped the lives of his family members profoundly.
Those who knew Joe will remember him as a loving and kind man, whose generosity of spirit uplifted everyone he met. His presence was a comfort, his advice a guiding light, and his love a constant reassurance. Joe Plummer's memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his example of a life well-lived will continue to inspire.
