(From Clark Funeral Home)James "Jamie" Martin, age 65, passed away on April 23, 2024, in Diamond, MO. He was born on March 30, 1959, in Joplin, MO, to Ray and Mary (Douthitt) Martin. Jamie graduated from Diamond High School in 1977 and attended Crowder College for 2 years.
Jamie worked as a mason in the construction industry. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, and gardening, and he was known for being an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
One of Jamie's greatest joys was watching and keeping up with his grandkid's sporting events. He took pride in their accomplishments and cherished the time spent together, supporting them wholeheartedly. Devoted to his faith, Jamie was an active member of the Diamond Christian Church, where he found community and spiritual guidance.
He is survived by his daughters Amanda Martin of Neosho, Katie Holland and husband Brandon of Webb City, and Kimmie Cash and husband Jared of Grove, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his grandchildren Taylor, Hunter, Abby, Andrea, and Ava Gilliam; Bratie and Kavyn Holland; and Rylie and Aaliyah Cash, as well as two great-grandchildren. Jamie is also survived by his siblings Rebecca Martin, Linda Martin, David Martin and wife Shara, and Mary Jane Stevens and husband John, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends.

The family will host a memorial service to celebrate Jamie's life which will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Diamond Christian Church, with a visitation prior to the service at 10:00 am. Virgil Eubanks will officiate the service.
