(From Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home)Mary Francis Shrum, 78, of Monett was called to her Heavenly home on Saturday April 20, 2024 while at St. Luke’s Nursing Center in Carthage, Missouri. She was born in Wichita, Kansas on July 14, 1945; the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Mae (Heck) Wood. She was united in marriage on October 30, 1965 in St. Paul, Kansas to Gary Arnold Shrum; he survives.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Monett, Missouri.
Mary is survived by her husband Gary of the home; three sons: Creston Shrum of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mike Shrum of Monrovia, Indiana, and Warren Shrum of Monett, Missouri.; one daughter: Stephanie Moore of Carl Junction, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Mary Mae and two brothers: Don and Chuck Wood.
Visitation for Mary is being held on Tuesday April 23, 2024 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Funeral services are being held on Wednesday April 24, 2024 at 2:00p.m. at the Church of Christ in Monett, Missouri. Burial will follow services at the Mineral Springs Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.
Memorial donations for Mary may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
