Georgena June Sellers, 90, of Pittsburg, passed away at 12:35 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at Via Christi Hospital. She was born June 16, 1926, at Columbus, KS, to George and Pearl (Adams) Waggoner.
She graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1945. Mrs. Sellers worked for S.H. Kress Five and Dime and Walmart for many years. She was also a longtime member of the Countryside Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Sellers and his wife Sandra, of Pittsburg, KS; granddaughter including, Tammy Nagel of Pittsburg, KS; and great grandchildren including, Seth McGuire and Madison Rae Nagel; a nephew Tom Ellicott and his wife Lori of Carterville, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Kenneth and Thomas Waggoner and two sisters Mary Waggoner and Mona Ellicott.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday (August 5) at the Brenner Mortuary with Dan Muter officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbus City Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at Brenner Mortuary. The family suggests all sympathies of food or memorials to be donated to the Wesley House and/or memorials to Countryside Christian Church.
