William “Bill” Eugene Hamilton, 77, passed away on December 10, 2016 in Joplin, Missouri. Bill was born July 26, 1939 in Carthage, Missouri to John Albert Hamilton, Sr. and Maggie Marie (Haggard) Hamilton, the fourth of nine children. Bill was a lifetime Jasper County resident. He was a farmer and worked at M.F.A. and Independent Gravel Company for many years.
Bill is survived by one daughter, Brenda G. Hamilton, of Kansas City, Missouri; one son, Roger A. Hamilton and wife Deedra of Laguna Niguel, California; one granddaughter, Jessica Hamilton of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers, Homer E. Hamilton and wife Debbie of Carthage and Murrell E. Hamilton and wife Joyce of Jasper, Missouri; three sisters, Margaret M. Moore and husband Harry of Peoria, Illinois, Helen F. Joyce and husband Ron of Springdale, Arkansas, and Sue Simmons and husband Jerry of Carthage.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John A. Hamilton, Jr. and Frank J. Hamilton, and one sister Violet Jane Bradley.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Ulmer Funeral Home.
