Gay Elaine Harding, age 67, a long-time resident of Carl Junction, Missouri, peacefully went to be with the Lord after a struggle with cancer on Thursday, December 8th, 2016, at Freeman Hospital.
Elaine was born on April 4th, 1949, to Helen Marie (Mayo) Moorehead. She was the fourth of six children. She married Dale Leon Wald on June 12th, 1966; together they had two children, Candy (Wald) Brintnall and Jerry (Joey) Wald. After Dale's death, she remarried Thomas G. Harding on March 21st, 1981, along with his two children, Brian Lee Harding and Tiffany Lynn (Harding) Goar.
Elaine loved good food, spending time with family, playing games and spoiling her grandchildren. Her favorite pastime was fishing and spending time at the lake with her husband. She also found great enjoyment in sewing and quilting. Elaine had a big heart and a wonderful smile that could light up any room.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas G. Harding, and their four children, Candy (John) Brintnall, Joey (Lacee) Wald, Brian (Noelle) Harding and Tiffany (Robert) Goar. Her legacy continues in her grandchildren, Brock (Lauren) Brintnall, Heaven (Casey) Kloeckener, Beighly Brintnall, Zachery Wald, Madison Shores, Jeremiah Wald, Mackenzie Pritchard, Austin Wald, and Aaron Harding; and two great-grandchildren, Hadley Belle Brintnall and Brynleigh Jewel Shores. She is also survived by her two sisters and brother, Sally Loyd, Norma (Tony) English and Billy Moorehead.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; her mother, Helen; her sister, Pat Shelby; and her brother, Corky Moorehead.
