Faye Allene Bruffett, 93, passed away December 5, 2016 at St. Luke’s Nursing home, Carthage, Missouri. Faye was born October 2, 1923 in Reeds, Missouri to Allen and Hattie (Sanders) Keller. She was a lifetime Carthage resident and graduated Carthage High School Class of 1941. Faye worked in the Jasper County Courthouse at the Missouri State Extension Office. She volunteered at McCune Brooks Hospital as a Grey Lady and the Red Cross Blood Mobile. Faye was a member of the Grand Avenue Church of God.
Faye was united in marriage to John W. Bruffett December 15, 1943 in Carthage; he preceded her in death June 8, 2014.
Faye is survived by two daughters Sharon Lawrence and husband Bruce “Harlow” of Carthage, Martha Ann Cisco and husband Guy of Wasola, Missouri, two sons Ron Bruffett and wife Melanie of Lamar, Missouri and Charles Bruffett and wife Kathleen of Carthage, 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, one sister Jenny Moore of Raymore, Missouri and Ralph Keller and wife Jean of Raymore, Missouri.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Grand Avenue Church of God, Carthage, Missouri, with burial at Hackney Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, December 9, 2016 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Contributions can be made to St. Luke’s Activity Department in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
