Robert Lee "Rob" Phillips, age 60, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at his home.
Rob was born May 23, 1956 in Joplin, son of the late Wayne Lee Phillips and Mary Ann Williams Phillips. He graduated from Memorial High School in 1974, and worked for Bard and Bard as a welder for years, and most recently was working for Car Care in Joplin, and at Albert's Greenhouse. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, and was a member of Ducks Unlimited for years, and served as a Board Member for DU.
In addition to his parents, Rob was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Phillips.
Survivors include his children, Brandon Phillips and Desiree of Allen, Texas, Sheena Phillips of Carl Junction; granddaughter, Savanna Phillips; long time companion, Linda Smith; brother, Kenny Phillips and Bobbie of Joplin; sisters, Teresa Ray and Walt of Joplin, and Cheryl Lewis of Joplin; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be Friday, December 9, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Joplin Church Alive, 917 Illinois Ave. with Pastor John Koehler officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
