Joyce Ann Myers, age 70, Galena, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Freeman West Hospital.
Joyce was born September 17, 1947 in Houston, Missouri, daughter of the late Jesse Lea and Bertha Baker Lea. She grew up in Salem, Missouri, one of eleven children, where she attended school. She married Richard Lee Myers on December 30, 1971, he preceded her in death on October 27, 1999.
Joyce loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother, and taking care of her family. She was always very spiritual, and loved doing the Lord's work. She was a pastor with the Crossroads Full Gospel Church in Webb City for several years.
In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by 9 siblings.
Survivors include her children, Angelia Vaughn and husband Carey of Galena, James Willis-Black and Gary Willis-Black of Bulverde, Texas, David Black of Galena, and Matthew Myers of Booneville, Missouri; sister, Barbara Gaskins of Riverton, Kansas; grandchildren, Shayna Black, Riley Willis-Black, Calvin Myers, and Allen Myers; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jeff D. Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Stone Cemetery, Diamond Grove, Missouri with Jason Gaskins, Roy Gaskins, Calvin Myers, Allen Myers, Robert Hughes, and Carey Vaughn serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
