Bertha Lee “Tiny” Barber, 88, a former area resident, entered into rest on December 31, 2017 in Burlington, KS.
She was born January 3, 1929 in Dexter, MO and had moved into the area in 1981 from Rogersville, MO. Bertha was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. She married Thermon “Shorty” Barber on June 13, 1947; he preceded her in death on May 5, 2012. Bertha is survived by three daughters, Venia Syring and husband, Arthur of Burlington, KS, Carol McVey of Ava, MO, and Cora Schroder of FL; eleven grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Anita Looney, one grandson, Eric Ellis, and a step brother, Charles Brown.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, January 5, 2018 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Neosho, MO, with Rev. Ralph Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora, MO. Visitation will begin at 12:00, prior to services.
