Dora Elsie Buchanan, aged 89 years, one month and twelve days, passed from this life early on the morning of Monday, January 1, 2018, after battling a lengthy illness.
Elsie was a graduate of Fairland, Oklahoma High School, class of 1947, and joined Wallace Buchanan in matrimony on September the 10th, 1948. She was a devoted wife to her husband, a selfless homemaker to her family, a loving mother, and an adoring grandmother and great-grandmother.
Elsie was preceded in death by Wallace, her husband of 56 years, her daughter, Sharon, and her grand-daughter, Tracy Ann. She is survived by her three sons; Stephen, David, and Thomas, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She will be missed by those who knew her, and mourned deeply by those who loved her. But she is home now, at peace, and no longer in pain. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Diamond Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 4, 2018 from noon till 1:30 p.m. at Weng Funeral Chapel.
