Gloria Troyer

Gloria Jean Troyer, age 75, Joplin, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2019 at her home.

Gloria was born September 8, 1944 in Joplin. In her younger years, she worked alongside her mother as a waitress at Grace's Cozy Corner and at the Red Barn for many years. She also worked a short time for the school district in the cafeteria. When it was time for her to retire, Gloria Jean was content on spending time with her family and enjoying crafts. She also sewed and made leather goods. She will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Gloria Jean was preceded in death by her husband, James Troyer; a sister, Ginger Thompson; and a brother, Paul Wright.








Survivors include her children, Gregg Troyer, Belinda Fortner, David Troyer, J.M. Troyer, Christopher Troyer; a sister, Yvonne Janicke; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Services are planned for Friday at 10:00 a.m.at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Alan McCamey will officiate. Interment will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
