Corey Stevens

(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)

Corey Lee Stevens, 43, left this life on July 4th, 2025, in Neosho, MO.

Corey was born in Cameron, MO on August 8th, 1981, to Deborah Stevens and Charles Crist. He spent a significant amount of time growing up in and around Neosho before moving to Parsons, KS several years ago. He never sat still for too long, travelling the country with his job at RPM Builds for the past 5+ years where he was a crew lead building industrial storage tanks, a job he was very proud of.

Corey loved visiting his friends and family, making people laugh, driving back roads while listening to music and helping people - those he loved and strangers alike. Corey would absolutely go without in order to help someone else in need and made many donations to causes that helped kids. He made friends everywhere he went, and people genuinely loved him more than he ever knew.

Corey was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Harry Jr. and Lucy Stevens, Aunt Susan Heizman, and a few close friends.

Corey leaves behind his sisters Susan (Kevin) Hill, Melissa Stevens, Mariah (Ryan) Hurn and brother Mathew (Lakyne) McFadyen. Also included are his close cousins Brandy Evans, Heather Heizman and Christina Stevens. Some of his very favorite people were the kids who called him Uncle Corey – Kenzie Riegle Hughes, Raelynn Stevens, Logan Stratis, Bradley Stevens, Darian Crawford, Hayven Craig, Ashton Evans, Ryilee Stevens, Arianna Hurn, Tucker Hurn, Rayne McFadyen, Camilla Hurn and Aurora McFadyen. He also leaves behind a host of friends who were considered family.

A memorial visitation has been scheduled for Thursday, July 31st, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
